We placed it on top of a bureau at the foot of our bed, about 8 to 9 feet away from where we sleep, and even on the lowest setting, it pushes a strong breeze across the room. In fact, it moves so much air that it causes my long hair to blow around while I’m trying to sleep, tickling my face and keeping me awake—so now I clip my hair up before bed. That’s not a complaint, just a testament to how much air this fan can move even at a distance. It’s great for keeping the room cool and comfortable without needing to run it at high speed. Like all fans, it does produce some noise, especially since it’s a metal model, but it’s surprisingly quiet given its power. On the low setting, it’s just a bit louder than our old Lasko box fan, but it circulates far more air.
